What is light
But lack of not knowing?
And I grew eyes
To describe what was showing
I dare not take it all in
For it could never be meant to be
Held in a hand
Not composed
Of particles which one could hold
But sure as day it shines
Sends interpretations to the eyes
And we bear witness beholden to presences
Never otherwise would be known
I can't help taking it in
It is without and within
I can't obtain can't explain it but I cannot hate it
It's everywhere all around
It was above and abounding
The brightness went right through our eyelids
(2x's)
Don't look away
Don't hide your face
It's chasing it's displacing dark
And if no longer could eyes observe
I'm certain it would begin to be heard
I'd hear it shine
I taste the bright upon my tongue
I hear it sung
No words or form
But radiant warm
I feel it how it pours
How it pours!
What is the light that I see
When I wake in morning?
Is it a physical thing?
You see it shoot right through me
I am a time and a space
I am earth and water
And when I'm gone from this place
It's shining that much farther
What is the light that I see
When I wake in morning?
It is a physical thing!
You see it shoot right through me
I am a time and a space
I am earth and water
And when I'm gone from this place
It's shining that much farther
